’The book provides an excellent source of information on models of exacerbation of respiratory disease by viral infections. The contributors are all leaders in their respective fields and they discuss both human and animal models. It is much more than just a technical manual, as the authors provide some useful reviews of the topic. I was particularly interested in the epidemiology and annual cycles of exacerbations as the factors driving these cycles are not fully understood.
