Interdisciplinary journal for transfusion medicine, hemotherapy, immunohematology, and clinical hemostasis

Aims and Scope

This journal is devoted to all areas of transfusion medicine. These include the quality and security of blood products, therapy with blood components and plasma derivatives, transfusion-related questions in transplantation, stem cell manipulation, therapeutic and diagnostic problems of homeostasis, immuno-hematological investigations, and legal aspects of the production of blood products and hemotherapy. Both comprehensive reviews and primary publications that detail the newest work in transfusion medicine and hemotherapy promote the international exchange of knowledge within these disciplines. Consistent with this goal, continuing clinical education is also specifically addressed.

Interdisziplinäre Zeitschrift für Transfusionsmedizin, Hämotherapie, Immunhämatologie und klinische Hämostaseologie

Zielsetzung

Die Zeitschrift widmet sich allen Bereichen der Transfusionsmedizin, angefangen von der Qualität und Sicherheit der Blutprodukte, der Therapie mit Blutkomponenten und Plasmaderivaten, über transfusionsmedizinische Fragen der Transplantation, allen Aspekten der Stammzellgewinnung, -lagerung und -transplantation, therapeutischen und diagnostischen Problemen der Hämostase, der immunhämatologischen Untersuchungen im Rahmen von Bluttransfusionen, Transplantationen und zur Abklärung von Immunzytopenien, bis hin zu rechtlichen Aspekten der Herstellung von Blutprodukten und der Hämotherapie. Neben Übersichtsarbeiten sollen Originalarbeiten die neuesten Erkenntnisse aus den Bereichen der Transfusionsmedizin und Hämotherapie vermitteln sowie einen internationalen Austausch innerhalb dieser Disziplinen ermöglichen. Ein besonderes Ziel besteht in der Darstellung klinischer Aspekte unter Förderung der Weiterbildung.
