You have now direct online access to all journals of the subject packages 'Neurosciences', 'Biosciences' and 'Internal Medicine I', back to their very first issue! The article PDFs, based on scanned paper originals, fully indexed and searchable, can be purchased on a pay-per-view basis by credit card as any other article.

Ordering Archive Issues Online
Individual pre-1998 print issues of journals in the subject packages 'Neurosciences', 'Biosciences' and 'Internal Medicine I & II' can be ordered directly online, provided there are still enough copies in stock, which may not be the case for all journals and years). Alternatively, online access to entire issues (i.e. to all PDFs of one issue) is offered where possible.

Karger is ISBN-13 compatible

All Karger catalogues, bulletins and current information leaflets as well as the website carry the new 13-digit ISBN. During the transitional period, the 10-digit ISBN is included everywhere with the ISBN-13. Invoices will show both, and either ISBN-10 or ISBN-13 can be used to place orders.

Consortia

Special pricing is available for library consortia and commercial organizations. Please contact Customer Service service@karger.ch with your wishes and requirements.

Reference Linking

All references in Karger journal articles (html fulltext) are linked to external resources such as
  • Pubmed/Medline (NLM)
  • CrossRef /DOI)
  • Chemical Abstracts Service (CAS)
  • Cambridge Scientific Abstracts (CSA)
  • ISI Web of Science

  • As of 2005, the PDF journal article now contains embedded the same citation links. To experience the new PDF Plus technology, see this sample article.

    CrossRef/DOI

As a member of the CrossRef, Karger utilizes Digital Object Identifiers (DOIs) in bibliographic data to facilitate unique and persistent identification of research material. Journal article citations contain reference links to source material located on the World Wide Web, when available. In addition to persistent identification, CrossRef also facilitates the discovery of research material on the Web through the CrossRef Search Pilot initiative powered by a Google search engine. This collaborative effort launches a typical Google search but filters the result to include the scholarly research content from participating scholarly publishers. Thus, reducing the false hits produced by general web searches.

    Open URL

For more information on technology and application, please see the CrossRef's OpenURL FactSheet and their OpenURL resolver or the OpenURL and SFX Overview by ExLibris.
Karger fulltext articles can be targetted using DOI numbers, example: http://content.karger.com/ProdukteDB/produkte.asp?doi=000085000
For your individual linking needs, please contact us at info@karger.ch with details of your requirements.
